This weekend was pretty fun. Nothing too exciting but fun. I was on duty both Friday night and Saturday night. Which means I watched a lot of movies.
Saturday Stella and I went for brunch with our friend Kristin. It was a good time. I'm glad that the 3 of us had a chance to get together outside of White Rock.
Tia and I went to Old Chicago tonight to meet a friend of hers who just got in town and some other friends of hers. It was fun. 2 of our professors were there and that seemed strange. But it actually makes me happy. I'm glad that we have professors that aren't "above" hanging out with their students. I mean, her friend that we went to see is on internship this year and was not at school last year so it was like a welcome home kind of party (even though he's leaving on Tuesday to go back to his internship.) I think this was an appropriate time for the professors to come out and see their former student. But I know one of the professors that was out has some pretty good relationships with his students. He has the pre-sem bible studies at his house often and he plays tennis with one of his students and basketball with some of them. I think it's cool when professors find time to get to know their students on their level and not just on an academic level. It shows that they care. One more reason why I like small schools.
I talked to my mom tonight. She left me a message on my phone congratulating me for getting into the Camp China program. As much as i would have liked this news to be true, it wasn't. I got into my major program at school not into the Camp China program...yet. But i do have my interview for Camp China tomorrow evening. So i called mom to correct these errors. She was fighting with me about what i had told her previously about what's going on in my life. She didn't have the information correct and kept telling me that i told her these things wrong and not that she wasn't listening to me. It made me feel bad for having to correct her, but i know that i told her everything correctly and she got it skewed in the listening process. But oh well, it's all straightened out now. but now she has to call my grandma and straighten it out with her. I love my family and how news travels fast, even if it's not correct news.
Well it's either time for homework or sleep.
