I went home this weekend, as most of you know. i didn't tell my parents because i thought it would be fun to surprise them. Well i pull up to the house and mom and dad are packing up the car to go to Door County for the weekend. Well there went the idea of surprising them! Well, i surprised them, but i only got to see them for like 30 minutes, then they left. I can't think of the last time i was home alone. it was kind of weird.
So friday night was spent with Jon and it was great! It was nice to have some time and chat with him about life and such. It was a lot of fun and i think it renewed our friendship in some ways.
Saturday was the busiest day of my life! (well that's an exaggeration, but it was close.) I went for an early lunch with Sadie, then headed to the wedding where i met up with Lindsay. After the ceremony i did some dishes and then headed to Mayfair Mall where i met up with Jamie and eventually met Lindsay again to carpool to the reception. The reception was pretty fun. I sat with a bunch of Josh's cousins. That was kind of interesting, but they were very nice and all about my age so we chatted some. I mainly hung out with Lindsay and Beth, and a little with Matt. I only got to talk to Jenny for alittle bit, but i didn't really expect a long conversation, i mean, it was her wedding day. So all in all it was fun.
It was kind of weird to be around people from high school days. Especially around people that were so close to me then, and now we are pretty distant. It makes me wonder if i really have changed much since high school. I mean basically i am the same person. I just go about my life with a bit more direction and intentions now, i guess. Anyhow, i got all nostalgic this weekend.
Oh after the reception, i went out with Lindsay and Joanna, and a bunch of Brian's friends, which was kind of random. I get to the bar and realize that i forgot my ID in my pants from the night before and had to go home. Lame! But it was fine, i went home and crashed.
I spent this morning at Beth's. She invited me over for brunch with her family. it was super fun and the food was great! Since my parents couldn't cook for me this weekend i thought i would let someone else's parents do it.
Anyhow, it was a good weekend but super busy and kind of weird at the same time.

Bummer that the folks departed as you arrived. But I'm glad you got some good friend time.
Awww I'm glad to have gotten to see you this past weekend, it was nice! :) We'll see how things go for the 14th weekend...Stupid job.

Hey it's Jessica! As in Cook. I happened upon your livejournal, which of course lead me to here. I guess I just wanted to say hi, and I know what you mean about seeing people that you were really close to. Next time you're around, you, me and Jenny should hang out. Email me sometime.
