Celebrations, wedding invitations & Elvis impersonations

The above title pretty much sums up my weekend.
Celebrations: the great missionary of ireland was celebrated on friday by going to an overcrowded O' Gara's and the overcrowded Local. It was fun, but very busy. I can now say that i have went out for St. Patrick's day.
Wedding invitations: MaryEllen and i went to Katie's saturday night to help her make her wedding invitations. It was quite fun. Her parents made us a delicious dinner and making the invitations was fun. I love being crafty!
Elvis Impersonations: After the wedding invitation making, MaryEllen and I went to the North St. Paul VFW to see a current CSP staff member and an alum of CSP do Elvis impersonations and sing oldies. We were met there by some Concordia staff and professors. It was kind of weird to see my professors drinking beer and being "normal". I still like to think that all professors have cots set up in the boiler room of the school and don't have lives outside of teaching. it was a good time. MaryEllen and i were teased by our professors because we were the first to leave (and we were the youngest ones there).
Celebrations: Today one of my youth group boys was baptized. I cried. It was exciting! We also had 5 of our youth group members become members of the church today. I almost cried again. God is so good! He works through so many mediums, including teenagers, little kids, adults, and even me.

AND ESPECIALLY YOU!!!

Sounds like a fun weekend. My weekend wasn't quite as exciting. BUt I did lots of crafts. I made bottle cap lockets, a vinyl purse, and two hats from thrift store sweaters. I got a book "AlternaCrafts" and it rocks. Also check out craftster.org. I went to an art expo at Pioneer Park yesterday and got some awesome jewelry. I might send you some.

PS! Take off "Overheard in NY"!!!

Awww Kali! You are too cute :) I love that you saw an Elvis impersonator. Sigh. Me and my newfound Elvis obsession. And like your sis says, craftster SO rocks!!! You would totally love it!
