So far Turlock is amazing and the people here are great! The city is bigger than i thought it was. Population of around 70,000. The town is built all goofy, at least the streets are, but i haven't gotten lost yet. My pastor seems great. He is a really nice, and approachable guy and his family is pretty cool too. The members of the congregation that i have met have all welcomed me as family. I thought that i would not enjoy meeting everyone (because i'm not so good at small talk) but it has been really easy. I have had lunch and dinner plans almost everyday, so i am well fed. I don't start work until tuesday so i get to see the whole Sunday marathon first hand without actually having to do anything. I move into my apartment on Saturday, which is coincidentally my birthday. That's about it. So far so good.
Tomorrow is my grandma's funeral, please keep my family in your prayers and me as well. I know that i don't need to be at the funeral but i do feel a little guilty and regretful for not planning on attending.
