I love making home visits

My newest "project" has been visiting members of Good Shepherd for the purpose of getting to know them and asking them how they think i should serve the church and community. At first i was nervous about doing this. I feel weird asking people if i can come over, but now that i've gotten over it, it might be my favorite thing about this job.
I love having time to talk to people. On a sunday morning i never get more than 5 minutes to chat with any one person. I love going to people's houses and being able to chat with them for an hour (sometimes 2 or 3). It's so nice to hear people's stories and learn about their families. I love that sitting down with people and talking is a part of my job.
Anyhow that's all, i just had to give a shout out to how much i love making home visits.
(Can i use "shout out" in that way? Is that kosher?)
